Lying down removes the legs and the balance in one go, so what is left is a single long curve from ear to foot. The eyes are closed, which means two short lines instead of the hardest part of any character. The three Zs give somewhere to put a second color. This sleeping Stitch drawing is the bedtime one. Baby Stitch uses the same pose awake.

Stitch asleep on his front, three Zs above him.
