The fur is drawn as tufts rather than one clean outline, all the way round the body and down the tail. That rewards pencils over markers: two tones close together, alternating tuft by tuft, give the coat depth that a flat fill never reaches. The face is doing a lot with very little. Give this long haired cat drawing half an hour. The cat face takes five minutes.
