Sitting removes the hardest part of drawing a person, and the bird gives a small child something to finish in a minute. The dress splits into a dark bodice and a pale skirt, so two very different tones sit side by side without any blending. The bow is the third color. This Snow White princess drawing works from five. Princess Moana sits the same way.
