A hen settled on her nest, an egg just peeking out under her chest and two feathers dropped on the ground. The nest is drawn in short woven strokes, so it is a good place to practice two shades of yellow and brown. It suits a child learning where eggs come from, or a spring table decoration. This chicken drawing leads on to the chick hatching.
