Here is hen and chick in 7 steps.

Start with the hen standing tall: comb, beak and wattle.

Curve her chest down into a round body with a raised tail.

Add her wing and her two legs.

Draw the small chick beside her, head tipped up.

Give the chick its wing, tail and thin legs.

Draw the empty nest on the left.

Finish with the egg on the right.
